Thanks for the interest!
I’d love to partner with you! Here are the many ways we can work together:
1. Article Writing and Editing
I’m always open for great assignments about food, parenting, achieving goals, lifestyle and social media. See my clips page for a list of some of my writing credits.
2. Food Writer and Recipe Developer
A foodie at heart, I have been writing about food and developing recipes for more than 16 years. I love to get my hands messy in the kitchen! My work has appeared in magazines like Bangor Metro, Fine Cooking and Yum for Kids and on websites like SheKnows, Momtastic and The Today Show. I’ve also authored seven cookbooks and counting.
3. Blogging
I am an active contributor to the blogosphere. From tech and social media related concepts to parenting to food, I can blog about anything. Check out my personal blogs Sarah’s Cucina Bella and The Lunch Box Ladies for some examples. And reach out whether you are looking for a copywriter to ghostwrite for your blog or a bylined contributor.
4. Brand Ambassador
Want a champion for your product? I can be your brand ambassador. I’ll cheer for your brand and create infectious buzz through blog posts, as well as mentions on my social media accounts (I do Instagram, Facebook and Twitter these days). I also can travel and do on-camera work for you. In the past, I have worked with companies including Hellmann’s, Mott’s, Jones Dairy Farm, Pillsbury and others in this capacity.
5. Photographer
All the images you see on my blog Sarah’s Cucina Bella were shot by me and my trusty Canon cameras and array of lenses. My food photos have been featured in Betty Crocker publications, Yum for Kids magazine and on websites including Tablespoon.com, Disney’s AmazingMoms.com, Pillsbury.com and more.
6. Social Media Management
As the former social media editor for Education World, I have overseen the launch of a professional network for educators, engaged in social media for business purposes and led the team into a deeper use and understanding of social media.
7. Event Speaker
Hand me a mic! I’m available to speak at or be part of a panel at food-related and writing-related events. I can speak to crowds about everything from freelance writing and photography to parenting to self-marketing.
Some presentations I love to give include:
- Becoming a Food Writer — This details how I went from a newspaper journalist to a cookbook author through food blogging, writing for digital media and more.
- The Making of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts: Official Wizarding World Cookbook — This talks a lot about working with licensed properties and how cookbooks like my latest one go from idea to tangible product.
- The Evolution of Food Writing — Food writing has a long and rich history. This goes through the highlights and turning points that brought us to where we are today.
- The Badass Women Who Changed Food in America — From teaching women to cook at home to bringing new cuisines to the American table to shining a light on industry’s impact on food, women have changed food in America. This presentation introduces people to them and shares how they each changed food here.
